The anchored Solar Sun Ring is needed for infinity pools, and pools in very exposed, windy areas. The ring has a small rim around the outside which fills with water to ensure that it does not blow away.

Solar Sun Rings are a passive solar swimming pool heating device made from 2 sheets of heavyweight U.V resistant vinyl. The upper clear layer holds insulating air and focuses sunlight on the blue lower layer. The blue lower layer absorbs 50% of the sunlight and converts it to heat. The balance of the sunlight is allowed to pass through for deep water heating. 
At night the contained air acts as an insulating blanket to retain heat gained during daylight. Anchored Solar Sun Rings are equipped with six magnets to improve clarity and decrease hardness of the water in your pool. The magnets are positioned to facilitate rafting. The strength of the magnets will permit single position removal but will easily separate to prevent entrapment in accidental falls.

They are safe to use with children around as they separate to prevent entangling and entrapment.

Remember: 70 to 80% surface coverage is all that is needed for efficient thermal heating and retention here in the United Kingdom.
